WHAT WE DO The Grupo ARCO is expert in the field of the selection, delimitation and zoning for management of conservation areas and their relation with development planning. In order to work in all phases of the systematic conservation planning process, we constructed the whole set of concepts and methods, tools and data bases needed. At the same time we implemented strategies for the institutional strengthening of governmental institutions, NGO’s and universities. We also participated in or executed projects that relate conservation areas with territorial or sectorial development planning, strategic environmental assessment (SEA) of development projects and the management of wildlife. Access to the services of the Grupo ARCO can be in the form of research agreements, consulting projects, buying products such as planning software and data bases, and courses and capacity building of the interested institutions.
